Assistant Coach

Adam Gilbert

Pisgah

As a Pisgah alumnus and former All-State tight end in 2001, Coach Adam Gilbert’s legacy with the Eagles has come full circle. Under his leadership as Offensive Coordinator, the 2024 Pisgah Eagles were a powerhouse, scoring an impressive 46 points per game on average and winning 11 games. Their remarkable success was built on a foundation of hard work, discipline, and strategic excellence, all hallmarks of Gilbert’s approach. His commitment extended beyond the offense, contributing to the physical and mental toughness of the team through his oversight of the weight program.

After graduation from Pisgah, Adam played at Cumberland University where he was a team captain and made the All conference team. He was the head coach at North Sand Mountain and Arab, before taking the offensive coordinator job at Scottsboro in 2018 for two seasons. In 2020, he returned home to Pisgah.

Pisgah Head Coach Luke Pruitt credited Gilbert with playing a major part in the team’s historic back-to-back state semifinal appearances. "Coach Gilbert has played a huge role in the turnaround and success of our football team. I am fortunate to have him on our staff," Pruitt shared.

Former player and Scottsboro coach Tyler Vann spoke to Gilbert’s lasting impact, saying, "Coach Gilbert’s discipline, relentless work ethic, and genuine care for his players set him apart."

With 34 wins in the past three seasons, Gilbert’s influence is felt in every corner of the Pisgah football program.
