Updated: Dec 13, 2021

The Alabama Football Coaches Association will be holding its 17th annual convention January 27th-29th, 2022 at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery.

Some of the best college and high school coaches will be speaking at the clinic on Thursday night and Friday. The membership of the ALFCA will come together on Friday afternoon to listen to the state of football from the AHSAA staff. After the AHSAA presentation, there will be an open floor with ALFCA President Terry Curtis to discuss issues dealing with high school football in the state of Alabama.

The annual ALFCA Coach of the Year Banquet will be held Saturday, January 29th at 11:15 AM at the Embassy Suites. The association will be presenting scholarships, Coach of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year awards as well as three Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Many of the corporate sponsors of the ALFCA will be present at the convention as well. Brochures will be at schools soon with registration and hotel information.

The Thursday night clinic lineup might be the best ever with Mark Stoops of Kentucky, Mike Leach of Mississippi State and Nick Saban of Alabama set to speak. Coach Saban usually brings a staff member to speak as well. On Friday we have Coach Kevin Creasy of Oakland High School in Tennessee, Bryan Harsin of Auburn and new Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry scheduled to speak. A number of Alabama's best high school coaches are slated to give presentations on Friday as well.
