Who Are the Longest Tenured Head Football Coaches in the State of Alabama?

Mike Robertson of Hokes Bluff High School has been head coach of the Eagles since the 1996 season.

Of all of the active head football coaches in Alabama, who has been at their present school the longest? How many coaches have been at their school more than 20 years? How many coaches have been head coach of their team for 10 years or longer? Would it surprise you to know that only two of the top dozen longest tenured coaches are from south Alabama? In fact, of the top 16 most tenured coaches int he state, only three are at schools that are south of Birmingham.

Each season their are between 80-110 head football coaches in the Alabama high school ranks that leave their jobs. It seems as though long tenures at one school are becoming less and less prevalent. Here is the Top 20 list of active AHSAA football coaches who have been at their present schools the longest.
